The Relationship Between Respondents’ Characteristics and Nurses’ Burnout in Caring Covid-19 Patients

Covid-19 causes fear, worry, fatigue, and post-traumatic stress disorder in nurses who are frontline staff hospitals. Based on a survey at hospital felt burnout caring for the covid-19 patients due to lack of rest, concentration when providing nursing care, physical caused by an increase with COVID-19. This study aims determine association between respondent characteristics nurses’ while patients.This research used correlation quantitative design cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique was total 52 work private hospitals western Indonesia. Data analysis bivariate Pearson chi-square test. questionnaire subjective self-rating test from industrial fatigue committee Japan (IFRC). resulted that variables were not related patients, which is age (p-value = 0.414), gender 0.404), education 0.069), marital status 0.429). Burnout can occur several factors such as workload, shift, environment. result imply arrange time rest better scheduling.
